WELCOME!
This is the Unrelated Project, a look at all the wildly varied parts of a life, from the physical to the spiritual and everything in between. The goal is not a specific body weight or accomplishment, or any easily quantifiable thing, it is simply an increased satisfaction. I believe that to be truly satisfied in life we must be fully engaged in it, not merely living it on the way to some artificial goal post, such as a degree, a pay raise, or a body fat percentage. What is shared here is one person’s observations and experiences as they strive to shift from that anticipatory sort of living to a fully appreciative way of living every day.
I am not an expert, and this process will not be clinical and flawless, it will be a life lived and observed, hopefully for the better.

Ministry of an
Over-Thinker
As the human being behind this project, my faith is incredibly important to me, in fact I have made a career out of it. To be honest, even as an ordained Christian minister, I have questions, doubts, and struggles when it comes to my relationship with God. How do I relate to a God that is so incredibly foreign and alien to my own experience? And how do I authentically “minister” to others from within that relationship? To me, any minister who is not constantly exploring those questions is suspect, though their’ explorations may be different than my own. In this section of the project I hope to share thoughts, observations, and questions related to my own faith journey.
A note: As someone who believes unquestionably in a God of love that can never be wholly known, I make no claim to the absolute correct religious path. There are so many amazing communities of faith, Christian and non, that personify through belief and practice the love and pursuit of justice that I believe I see personified through Christ. I personally recognize the beauty and validity of each and every one of those faiths practiced around this world, and welcome their teachings as part of the much needed global dialogue of peace, love, and justice!

To anyone who has been hurt by an individual or community in the name of religion or God,
I am so incredibly sorry!
There is no facet of humanity, individual or UNIVERSal, that is undeserving of love, acceptance, and respect!
BUt Enough about me…
There are so many people and organizations out there working to support those of us who have fallen on hard times, or are struggling to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles and just live! Those people who give of their time, energy, passion, and resources deserve to be applauded and held up as inspiration and examples for those of who hope to make a difference. This portion of the Unrelated Project, and frankly my ministry, is dedicated to highlighting and supporting those helpers that are out there doing The Work.
